MAKURDI— Less than 24 hours after the Joint Military and Police Security Task Force, JTF, in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State discovered the armoury of wanted militia leader, Terwase Agwaza in Gbishe, gunmen, Tuesday night, gunned down 10 persons in Tor Donga, another stronghold of the militant leader in the area.
The attack also left over 28 persons with serious injuries, with several of them in critical conditions.
Vanguard gathered from an eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, that the armed men stormed the town on motorbikes at about 10p.m.
Reacting to the development, Sole Administrator of Katsina-Ala LGA, Vera Akua, condemned the attack.
In a statement by her Special Assistant on Media, Godwin Iwanan, she lamented that the attack came on the heels of a similar incident few weeks ago, when a royal father in the area was murdered by unknown armed men.
